Happiness is complicated you say? Tell me, what makes you happy?
We’ve got too many people out here trying too hard to portray the illusion of joy; then crumble into misery behind closed doors.
Being happy starts with you being sincere with the voice inside you and the choices you make.
For some people, happiness is time with the family or watching the stars on a clear night’s sky. For some it’s watching airplanes take off on a runway, others it’s traveling to see the wonders of the world or wearing the latest fashion.
Me, I’m happiest when I see a stranger randomly smiling at their phone; when I see a flower blossoming from the crack of a sidewalk.
I love hearing people hum tunes of their favorite song or seeing an elderly couple flirt at the park bench.
I’m mesmerized by the smell of rain when it pours on dry soil; I get goose bumps thinking about that feeling from a first love’s embrace just before a kiss; I blush uncontrollably watching the joyous dance and excitement of a child when you blow bubbles around them.
That’s what gets me, the little things.
So, I ask you again, what makes happiness complicated for you??
