Romance – it is an intimate passion; it’s a despair for a love soo eternal you forget the world exists.
What does it mean to be romantic?
Often people mistake it for a warm sunny day; picking lilies by the park; picnics in an open field while sipping red wine and cheese.
NO! This might be romance in a way but, it is not the essence that lives within a romantic person.
Being a romantic is dark; pitch black darkness. It is a deep, dark and tormenting love. It is devastating. It is the furor of passions. It is “real skeletons in the closet” scary. It is an addiction; a despair for a love soo deep that cannot be achieved.
To be romantic is to love the dark instead of the light; the light is easy to love, the dark is what hides in the shadows of our souls; and that is where romance dwells. Undisturbed and uncorrupted.
Romance knows what it wants and how to get it. Once it’s let out, It will not stop for anything less than what it deserves; it will not sleep into the night; it will not show its face to those not worthy.
It is devastating to the ordinary (wo)man. It will crash the minds of the weak and the pretentious; have them running back to their mothers breasts. That, is what real romance is about; but it is beautiful nonetheless.
Next time you claim to be a romantic, think again, lest you set a beast loose that neither you nor your alter ego can tame.
